Danish armchair called Superstar manufactured in the 1970s by Genega Møbler.
The frame of this chair with a hammock-like structure is made of wood that is formed with steam into the desired shape. A sturdy cotton cover is attached to this and is carried by leather straps. The cushion is made of leather.
This Danish armchair is an imitation of the iconic Falcon armchair. This was designed in 1970 by the Norwegian Sigurd Ressell for the Vatne Møbler label. The Norwegians filed a lawsuit which they won, forcing the Danes to stop production. As a result, production of the Superstar seat has remained limited. The chair is in beautiful vintage condition with minor signs of wear here and there that are typical of its age. The leather cushion in beautiful condition is completely intact and has been re-fed.
