Danish chair (high model) called Superstar manufactured in the 1970s by Genega Møbler.
The frame of this seat with hammock-like structure is made of wood that was shaped with steam to the desired shape. Attached to this is a sturdy cotton cover that is carried by leather straps. The cushion is made of leather.
The seat is in very nice vintage condition. The frame was completely refurbished and reinforced where necessary. The leather cushion is in nice condition and without tears.
This Danish seat is an imitation of the iconic Falcon armchair. It was designed in 1970 by Norwegian Sigurd Ressell for the Vatne Møbler label. A lawsuit was filed by the Norwegians, which they won, forcing the Danes to cease production. This limited the production of the Superstar seat.The seat is in very nice vintage condition. The frame was completely refurbished and reinforced where needed. The leather cushion is in nice condition with no tears.
