Offered is the photo artwork 'Living Doll', by Danielle Zadelhoff. Daniëlle van Zadelhoff's photography contains a tension that does not easily go unnoticed. She offers her viewer raw emotions in a beautiful play of light and dark. And while Daniëlle only bought her first camera in 2013! Since then, her photos have been seen all over the world and she has built up a very impressive resume in a short time. Although the association with the works of art by the great masters of the Flemish Primitives, Southern Netherlandish painting or the Renaissance is obvious, it should not be allowed to dominate. The chiaroscuro technique only serves to accentuate the emotion of her characters, it emphasizes their fragility. Just like in the paintings of the great masters, the light source in Daniëlle's photography is imperceptible. Despite this strong similarity, her images retain a very contemporary feel. It makes her work iconic. Danielle has exhibited her work throughout Europe (including the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, London, Paris, Spain, Poland, Lithuania, Basel) but also in the MoMa in San Francisco and Miami. She has also published several table books. The dimensions of this work, Living Doll, are 120 by 80 cm. This is number 1 of only 3 works in total. Also signed on the back by the artist herself. The work is framed in black-painted wood and museum glass, but the frame is slightly damaged by transport (see detailed photos). The artwork itself and the glass are in perfect condition. The work was purchased in 2017 (when the photographer was still emerging) from the photographer himself at the Art Fair in the Rai in Amsterdam for 4,000 because several works were purchased at the same time. The work is now worth many times over and will only become more valuable over the years. The work is of course delivered with a certificate. As described above and as can be seen in the photos, the frame is somewhat damaged due to transport. However, the work itself and the museum glass are unharmed. The molding is easy to repair.
