The Congo chair was designed in the early 1950s by Dutch designer Theo Ruth (1915 - 1971) for the Dutch company Artifort.

Very reminiscent of the African palaver chair, which also consists of two separate parts that can be pushed together.
These specimens are in very good restored condition, the construction of the wood has been checked and the legs sanded. The seat is reupholstered with a plow fabric (grape 58) in blended green and black.
The piping is made of black leather.
