These Collar cabinets were designed by Oki Sato, the designer behind the Japanese design studio Nendo, one of the largest and most innovative design studios of the past 2 decades. The design is inspired by the characteristic shape of traditional Japanese shirts, hence the name 'Collar'.
Colour: basalt gray RAL 7012. Normal price EUR 1350, now EUR 995.
This cabinet is like new: only used for a trade fair presentation during Dutch Design Style Week.
Cabinet body dimensions: 160 cm high, 40 cm wide and 32 cm.
Four height-adjustable plastic feet are attached to this cabinet.
We also offer a white cabinet with the same dimensions, also with legs underneath.
In addition, there are white and basalt gray cabinets, where the legs are not yet attached: these can be used for wall mounting or placement on the ground, horizontally or vertically. And also some Collar modules with only one compartment. See the other Quodes ads on Whoppah.
Text from press release about the Collar cabinet program: The modular COLLAR cabinets are inspired by the collar of a shirt, which playfully echoes in the decorative aluminum fronts. These MDF / metal containers function as individual chest of drawers / side board or bedside tables but can be combined, forming attractive configurations for storing books etc. The subtle color-scheme and the vividly alternated forms express NENDO's typical serene atmosphere. To complement these cabinets, Nendo added also open bookcase cabinets.
The very last photo was taken during Dutch Design Style Week, where both a white and a basalt gray cabinet stood next to each other.
