This color stone print from 1986 was made in an edition of 23 this is number 20. The work is signed on the front and labeled with the edition numbering. On the back is a label with the title and technique. The work is in a change frame behind glass.

Chris Buursen (1953) studied philosophy for several years. Then he studied at the Academy of Visual Arts Artibus in Utrecht.
Man is central to Buursen's work. His examples are not minor: Rembrandt, Velasquez and Hendrik Terbrugghen, the famous Utrecht Caravaggist. In 1987, Buursen received the Boellaard Prize from the Genootschap Kunstliefde in Domstad.
The Centraal Museum Utrecht has 2 works by him in its collection.The work is in very good condition, the frame has some signs of use.
