Beautiful early work by Charlotte Molenkamp. This is truly a must have for any Molenkamp lover. 143 x 158 cm
From 1971 to 1975, Molenkamp trained at the Academy of Visual Arts St. Joost in Breda. From 1977 to 1979 she studied drawing and painting at the Tilburg Academy of Visual Arts.
Molenkamp worked in Utrecht for several years in the 1980s. She now lives and works in Tilburg.
Born into an artist family, Charlotte Molenkamp decided to pursue an artist's education in 1971. After her training in Tilburg, she finds a part-time job teaching drawing and art history, in addition to which she focuses on her own work. In 1980, she begins making gouaches in Utrecht in her own home. In 1983 she moves to Tilburg, where she has a studio near her home. There she begins making paintings with oil paint.
Exhibitions and awards:
Charlotte Molenkamp's first exhibition was at the Schouwburg in Tilburg, as a result of winning a painting competition. She had her first exhibition of oil paintings with Eugène Brands in a gallery in Eindhoven. Her work is included in several corporate collections, including those of ABN Amro, Philips, Interpolis and Rabobank. The Royal Family also owns work by Charlotte Molenkamp. She exhibits annually in and at various national and international galleries and art fairs.
