Fil de fer pendant lamp, diameter 60 cm. Bought at Aalst Lighting on 18/04/2009. Equipped with plug but can also be used as a ceiling lamp.
"Fil de Fer is a lighting fixture made of woven aluminum wire, lit on the inside by small lamps. Designed and made by Enzo Catellani, it is the creation closest to his heart. Developed almost twenty years ago for a special commission, never used for that particular project and hung in his workshop. Every time it was turned on, it enchanted everyone with its special, magical atmosphere. Enzo Catellani then decided to continue working on it. The lamp was later marketed and quickly became the most iconic lighting fixture in the Catellani & Smith range."Little or no signs of use to be observed!
