Hans Wegner 's three-legged bucket chair was originally introduced in 1963. Some limited series were produced, but the project soon came to a halt. In 1997 the chair was relaunched and after 34 years of oblivion the chair finally made its breakthrough. Seat and backrest are made of oak. The 3 legs consist of a laminated construction, the 2 front legs are in one continuous piece and the rear leg is a separate element. To increase comfort, Wegner has added 2 upholstered cushions that are attached to the shell from the back with screws. Despite its three legs, it stands firmly on the ground and does not fall over easily. In 1999, the chair received the highest possible grade in the testing program of the Technological Institute of Denmark.The chair was produced around 2016 and has hardly been used. Here and there a tiny dent in the wood and some almost invisible spots on the silk.
