Artwork: Sculpture by sculptor Harry Storms. Title: Up Material: Bronze on a pedestal of marble. Signed: hand-signed at the bottom of the sculpture. Dimensions: 53,5 x 14,0 x 9,5 cm. Total weight: 8 Kg. Harry Storms (August 11, 1945 to March 28, 2023). Life and work. Harry Storms was a Dutch sculptor and graphic artist. Storms was educated at the pedagogical academy. Initially, he was a teacher of handicrafts. He also trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw where he was taught by Jerzy Jarnuszkiewicz. In 1975 he made his debut as a visual artist with an exhibition of his bronze plastics in Sittard. This was followed by exhibitions at home and abroad. He also started a gallery and sculpture garden, the Procure, in Sterksel. He worked mostly in bronze, with ballerinas and horses being recurring themes in his work. His horses are not static animals, but seem to be in constant motion. Less well known are, his free works. Works in public space - The dance (1978), Weert city - Female figure (1978), Someren - Concrete worker (1980), Centaurusweg, Tilburg - Liberation monument (1980), Markt, hall of Deurne town hall[2]. - Hugo (1981), Oosterhout - Barmond (1986), village square, Lage Mierde - Horse (1987), Postelplein, Someren - Councilwoman (1987), parking lot town hall, Noordwijk - Horse of Raamsdonk (1987), Schansstraat in Raamsdonk[3]. - The Tamboer (1989), Kerkwijk, Berlicum - Horse of Tetje (1990), Aarle-Rixtel - Horse, Helmond
