Danish architect, designer and professor Bodil Kjær (born 1932) is the female pioneer of Danish midcentury design.
This iconic desk, designed by her in 1959, was the first of its kind with its pure and simplistic design, almost floating in the air. Bodil Kjærs' design has been dubbed 'The Most Beautiful Desk in the World' – or the 'James Bond Desk' as it featured prominently in three early Bond films.
