Coming from a family where art education played an important role, Bianca Prettau started painting in a minimalist-abstract way and was then attracted to the figurative drawing, in accordance with the specific representative drawing for the architectural preparation. After two decades of multidisciplinary research and architecture, the visual arts have taken an important place in his professional life. As a visual artist, she exhibited subjects of scientific interest in artistic formulas, such as the "Filon" series, where the microscopic structures of minerals become a gestural expression that can draw attention to messages of adjacent art. In this way, his latest artistic endeavors use the evocative power of painting to convey a seemingly understated but important message of everyone's responsibility for the dramatic changes in today's ecosystem. His series are composed as abstract or semi-abstract expressionist visionary journeys into perceived as the visual relationship between "the open work" and its limitless reading possibilities for the viewer. Prettau works mainly with acrylic and uses alternative tools instead of brushes. She draws inspiration from traditional painters, but has developed her own practice to demonstrate a contemporary approach. Using a unique technique, she adapted the use of brushes with alternative tools, more commonly found in technical drawings such as gradation rulers, etc., as well as the particularly complex method of conical perspective, resulting in an almost three-dimensional cityscape. His portfolio showcases his enormous talent, from his series of impressive and dynamic cityscapes to his beautiful figurative horse art. Exhibited at biennials, galleries and art fairs such as Montreux, Rotterdam, Monaco, Florence, Paris, New York, and using alternative painting methods and tools, Prettau's already well-known semi-abstract series are increasingly collected around the world. “Every time I left the idea of painting, my life was in disarray and every time I came back, it found order and light, so from my experience, art is my home.” Exhibitions • 2020 Carrousel du Louvre / Carrousel du Louvre - Paris - Paris, France • 2020 Art, Antiques and Gallery Guide – London, Autumn 2020- Editorial • 2020 London Life Magazines- August, September • 2020 Vanity Fair UK - OCTOBER 721 • 2019 MAG Montreux Suisse / Montreux Art Gallery - Montreux, Switzerland • 2018 FILON - solo show / Rose Studio - Brussels, Belgium • 2014 Rotterdam International Art Fair - RIAF / Laurenskerk - Rotterdam, Netherlands • 2014 Triennial of Visual Arts / Sapienza Gallery - Rome, Italy • 2014 Art Monaco / Grimaldi Forum Monaco - Monte Carlo, Monaco • 2013 IXth Biennial of Florence “Ethics, DNA of Art” / Fortezza da Basso - Florence, Italy • 2012, March – Panorama Arti Visive, Firenze, TV Arte Toscana, Florence, Italy; • 2011, November – 'Florence for beginners' SAI Gallery , Florence, Italy;
