Unique work by the French Zero Artist Bernard Aubertin (1934 - 2015) a “Voiture brûlé”. Burnt toy car (Mini Cooper) and acrylic on plywood signed and dated 'Bernard Aubertin 2009' (verso) Dimensions: H20 x w30 x d7.5 cm. Sold with a certificate of authenticity issued in November 2021 by Archivio Opere Bernard Aubertin, Milan. catalog on page 89 and a certificate is supplied. Bernard Aubertin was a French artist born in 1934 in Fontenay-aux-Roses, France. He died in August 2015 in Reutlingen, Germany. He met Yves Klein in 1957 and joined the Zero movement in the period 1960-1961. One of his texts ('Esquisse de la situation pictoriale du rouge dans un concept spatial') was published in the magazine Zero, vol 3 July 1961. He is known for his red monochromes (1958), paint and nails on panel, fire paintings and performance arts. His works were shown at several major art exhibitions: Documenta 6, Kassel, Germany, 1977.[5] 54th Venice Biennale, Italy, 2011. [6] Palais de Tokyo, Paris, France, 2012.
