Barbara Brody was born in Chicago (USA) in 1941, she also grew up here. Since 2021 she has been living and working in Los Angeles. She still paints and describes herself as a “painter and collage artist”. Her work is extremely popular, especially in America and England.
Barbara is a contemporary visual artist. As a child she looked at clouds, sun and landscapes and was delighted by the colors she saw.
The imagery in her works is colorful, playful, magical and courageous and her special sense of color is always expressed in her work.
For her, the colors are like food for the soul, stored in her mind, the way others have with words, films and books.
Barbara is always working on an entire series. She first makes many small quick sketches with pencil or paint, and from there she continues working until she finally completes an entire series.
