“Balthazar Klossowski de Rola, known as Balthus, French painter. From a very cultivated family background, he started painting at the age of sixteen.
In addition to color illustrations, this collection contains interviews with the artist, memories of those who knew him and essays by various art historians.
It was at that time that the characteristics of his style became established: a convinced figurative artist and opposed to all forms of abstraction, his drawing is sharp and with great precision.
