The Ovum coffee table is handmade with multiple layers of Mortex® on a wooden base. Mortex is a high-quality natural plaster that has been used for years for bathrooms, floors/stairs, walls, swimming pools, etc. In terms of composition, it is similar to products such as Betoncire or Venetian plaster, but Mortex contains no epoxy or polyurethane resins and is naturally waterproof.
The texture and color shades created after the plaster is applied leave the signature of the craftsman. This makes each piece unique.
The plaster has the same properties as natural stone and is very easy to maintain after the multilayer coating. Because of the material's flexibility, the color and shape possibilities are endless.
