The table lamp Artimeta A 2142 from the Bauhaus period originated from the collaboration of Karl Junker and Wilhelm Wagenfeld. In 1924, Karl Junker Jr., who produced gas ovens in addition to sewing machines, was forced to further diversify in order to keep his factory Junker & Ruh. He came into contact with the 24 year old Wilhelm Wagenfeld, metalworker and industrial designer who made his name with lighting.
The A2142 is the only original product that has survived the development of Runker & Ruh and continues to adorn more and more interiors today.
