The Arco Base Dining Table is a design by Jorre van Ast. The Base table is profiled by Arco as a no-nonsense table; a sturdy table made of durable materials that can take a beating. Yet it is anything but straightforward. Great thought has gone into the model, which despite its imposing appearance exudes a certain elegance. For example, the top consists of two solid planks, which leave a groove in the middle that determines its appearance. Similarly, the wooden base seems to merge almost seamlessly with the concrete finished with rounded edges. Fun fact is that it is the first table from Arco's Local Wood collection. This means that the wood for this table is gathered from the region around Arco's factory in Winterswijk. The entire process, from drying to final production, takes place locally. Natural "imperfections" in the wood are not masked, but rather can be admired in full glory in the top.
The Base table has a solid smoked oak top of over 4 centimeters thick, finished with matte lacquer which preserves the open structure of the table. As a result, the top retains its natural appearance and is less likely to scratch.
The concrete base has a natural light gray color.
All three sizes have a height of 75 centimeters. The height from the bottom of the table top to the ground is 72.2 centimeters. The nice thing about the base of this table is that it can be mounted at 22, 32, 42 or 52 centimeters from the short side by our delivery people. This gives you flexibility when it comes to the amount or width of your chairs.
