A very nice and cool English silver asparagus tongs This high quality piece of 1é silver was made in London. With a round George IV - Duty 1820. Running English lion on the left. Year letter A 1816. Maker's mark: Wm. Eley, Wm. Fearn Length: 24 cm Weight : People used to eat in luxury. For every hitchhiker, the English people had invented something. They frequently used tongs, pans and pots. This is a typical English example, an asparagus tong to serve asparagus at the table. See photos.
