Alexander Demidov (1965) is a Belarusian artist from Minsk who works within the figurative and allegorical genres.
Inspired by Russian art of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Demidov creates a strikingly holistic and picturesque universe filled with metaphors and allegories. His oil paintings resemble a theatrical production, in which ironic and sentimental stylized images appear on the canvas with the eternal themes of love, death and friendship.
