Albert De Deken from Schoten, Belgium, was a creative and athletic multi-talent who received his creative training at the academies of Antwerp and Paris. He is described as a spontaneous and fresh intimist with a fauvistic color palette in an expressionist design. He works with bright colors and does not pursue accuracy in rendering. He was a teacher at the academy of Antwerp for more like 25 years and played as a soccer player in the national team. Deken is listed in PIRON, BAS II and "Two Centuries of Signatures by Belgian Artists."
The net size of the painting is 48*68 cm. and it is in the original frame which shows the usual traces of age.no visible damage or craquelé, only limited signs of use and age
