David B. Williams (1947-2009), was a native Canadian Ojibway artist. He moved from his reserve in Ontario to work as a writer and photographer for the publication "Indian Voice". In 1977 he moved to Vancouver to find a new job. When this didn't work, he started making art. This sold so well that he did nothing else until his death.
