Kastholm was a trained blacksmith, but quickly turned to furniture design, which he learned under Finn Juhl. After training as a carpenter in Copenhagen, Preben Fabricius also studied interior design under Finn Juhl. He founded a joint studio with Preben Fabricius in 1961. Both are in the tradition of functional-aesthetic Scandinavian design, but were also influenced by the Bauhaus. On offer is a very nice set of 6 Kastholm chairs for Kill International. The chairs have inconspicuous scratches on the frame in places, but are otherwise in very good condition.
