Beautiful set of 4 vintage Gispen 107 chairs from the 1960s. Recently reupholstered in the original Manchester Ribcord upholstery. Original floor caps renewed.
The Gispen chair model 107 has many similarities to the model 101 and model 108, the such difference is that the 107 is not a back legless (floating) chair, as the 107 has a welded back support.
The chair has a chrome tubular frame, it does not continue as a handle like the 101, which is why it is sometimes called the "economical version" of the 101. That may have been true, they survived those minimum 50 years anyway!
