Voorburg, NetherlandsView all items from this sellerThis industrial stacking chair S22 in Pagwood from Galvanitas was designed during the 1970s in the style of famous industrial designs by Wim Rietveld, Jean Prouvé, and Friso Kramer with a 'pyramid’ or ‘compass’ base principle. This sculptural chair is comfortable and heavy. The pagwood seat is made of a high-density veneer or resin composite and is shock, scratch, break, and weather-resistant, and even resistant to cigarette burns. The frame is made of folded sheet metal with a sliding bar. The design of the chair legs makes it possible to stack several ones easily. The metal frame is black, and the seat has a strong brown wood grain.
