The Vitra Eames Plastic DSX chairs are a timeless example of Eames mastery. These classics are made of high-quality plastic and have an ergonomically shaped seat for optimum comfort. The characteristic metal legs give the chairs an airy look, making them a perfect fit for both modern and classic interiors.
The above-mentioned "upholsteries" are developed by Cooloo. Cooloo develops application techniques with which they can replace the upholstery process in a sustainable way. By using local residual flows of leather, cork, jeans, metal and concrete, they can give furniture a new look and feel without having to use new materials.
The seat is coated with Cooloo's Econcrete coating. This coating consists of industrial waste in combination with a Bio-based binder. Coating this designer chair with a layer of Econcrete is the perfect way to give the chair a new life, not only for the tough look and feel, but also because this coating has a slight flexibility, is tear and stretch resistant, which is necessary for this chair.
