DESCRIPTION:
2 beautiful designer chairs from Tubax. This Belgian company started making steel construction furniture around 1925 and worked for Thonet and architect Gaston Eysselinck, among others. But they also made their own designs such as this chair designed in the 1940s.
The chairs have a metal tube construction and are covered with a light gray leatherette upholstery. The chairs can be adjusted in height using an ingenious mechanism, but also in the height of the backrest and how far back it sits. The mechanisms for this are beautiful to look at, but are also very practical. There is a slight dip in the middle of the backrest, which allows air to reach the back. The metal feet of the chair have rubber caps to prevent damage to the floor. In short, a beautiful design and a very comfortable vintage and designer work chair
