Set of re-furbished oak Vienna armchairs. The old and broken upholstery of the back and seat has been replaced with a beautiful and light velvet-like fabric, reinforced under the chair with new tension strips. As a result, the armchairs are very comfortable.
The wood (steam-bent) has beautiful markings. The quiet, light color and functional shape of the armchairs make them fit into many interiors. The chairs are stamped at the bottom.
Dimensions: H (up) = 78 cm, H (seat) = 49 cm, W = 53 cm, D = 50 cm.
Info: Jacob & Josef Kohn was a Viennese furniture company founded by father Jakob Kohn in 1850 in Vienna, Austria. Around 1860 they founded two new factories in Wsetin and Litsch because Michael Thonet's patent on bentwood (steam bent wood/steambent) expired and the market was opened up to other manufacturers. The company Kohn became one of Thonet's biggest competitors. However, the latter was smart enough to take over the company in 1922 and in 1932 the name Kohn was dropped :-)
