Two Gispen 407 armchairs have been completely restored by us. New webbing in the back and seat, new foam and fiberfill. Reupholstered with a black woolen fabric with a cotton backing. If necessary, we will send you a fabric sample. The frame has been re-polished. New Bakelite armrests have been installed.
The Gispen 407 was designed by WH Gispen in 1933. The chairs were made in Gispen's Factory for Metal Processing NV. The chair was made until 1966.
Afterwards several replicas were made. These chairs are approximately 35 years old.
The frames have minor signs of wear.Light signs of use on the frames.
