Product description
The Camaleonda, designed by Mario Bellini for B&B Italia in the early 1970s, is one of the most iconic modular sofas in the history of Italian design. Characterized by generous volumes, deep seating, and an innovative modular system, it perfectly represents the experimental and visionary spirit of that era.
This piece is composed of two 90 x 90 cm modules, one with a backrest and one without, an ideal configuration both as a compact seat and as a base for future modular extensions. The renowned hook-and-loop system allows the modules to be securely connected and easily reconfigured.
The sofa has been professionally restored in Italy. The internal padding has been partially replaced to restore comfort and support, and the Dacron has been renewed. It has been reupholstered in a fine chocolate brown cotton velvet, chosen for its depth of color, softness to the touch, and durability for daily use.
The Camaleonda is today considered a timeless icon, appreciated by collectors and interior designers for its versatility and strong sculptural presence, suitable for both contemporary environments and more eclectic contexts.
