Auping chairs 'Dress-Boy' , beautiful set of two in an original-light gray. Black metal frame. Mostly attributed to Wim Rietveld but sometimes also to A.R. Cordemeyer. The slender - minimal volume makes this set typical of 'modern living' of the 1950s in the Netherlands.
Now these chairs still look beautiful as a set at a table or of course as a 'dress-boy' in the bedroom!The paint shows some craquelé and there are the necessary signs of use that come with age, such as at the backrest where the paint has faded due to wear. It gives the chairs more character. Construction of the chairs is otherwise solid and shows no defects.
