Breakfast service
Breakfast service
Saxon blue Winterling Bavaria with unique scalloped edge to the various pieces. The service was produced before World War II between 1903 and 1945 judging by the mark under the dinnerware.
The service is special in the group of Saxon blue because of the scalloped plates and edges of the dishes and other parts. It is a beautiful set to use in a special environment, for example B&B's, living room restaurants. But above all enjoy the beauty and craftsmanship of this service. It would be a shame if this beautiful service is in a closet and not used. The service has rarely been used and therefore shows little signs of use.
Probably the decoration is of the underglaze type. High-fire colors were then used. These are the colors red or blue in the form of metal oxides. These oxides used for this purpose can withstand great heat. The result is a complete fusion with the other layers. As a result, the drawings are somewhat blended. This blending can also be seen on this Winterling dinnerware.
The Bavaria Winterling blue Saxon breakfast service consists of:
- 6 breakfast offerings
- Teapot
- Coffee pot
- Sugar bowl
- Milk jug
- Butter dish
- Bread dish
- 4 meat-cheese dishes
- 6 cups and saucers
Dimensions include the sizes of the coffee pot.

Winterling
Heinrich Winterling born in Rehau Bavaria (Bavaria) is from the same family as the founders of Gebrüder Winterling OHG in Röslau (Bavaria). Even though the brands Heinrich Winterling GmbH & Co. KG and the Gebrüder Winterling OHG are sometimes very similar (especially after 1950), they are two independent companies. The company specialized early on in coffee and tea sets, gift items and complete dinnerware and had 250 employees in 1913, 400 in 1930 and 600 in 1937.
The entire dinner service is marked H Winterling, blue and with a crown and border decoration. The 7th picture on the right in the top row on the website.
