Joe Colombo is one of the greatest Italian designers of the 20th century. He is famous for his futuristic and fantastic conception of everyday furniture and his taste for modularity and functionality. A prolific designer, his pieces are still legendary today. They have stood the test of time while retaining their modernity. An innovator, he was the first to use single-block moulded plastic for his legendary Universale armchair (1967). His commitment to modularity led him to create the Tube-Chair and Multi-chair in 1969 and 1970, followed by many other emblematic designs in the 70s and 80s. > Discover all of Joe Colombo's furniture for sale on Design Market > Discover all of Joe Colombo's furniture for sale on Design Market Biography Biography Joe Colombo was born in Italy in 1930.
