About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
Bring an iconic piece of Dutch industrial design into your interior with this authentic Pyramid Chair, designed by Wim Rietveld in 1959 and produced by Ahrend de Cirkel. A classic of Mid-Century Modern furniture, admired for its simplicity, clever construction and timeless silhouette.
The Pyramid Chair was revolutionary in its time thanks to its stackable design and minimal steel frame, originally used in the Technical School in Eindhoven during the 1960s. This version features a dark plywood seat that pairs beautifully with the original black steel frame.
Wim Rietveld — son of the renowned Gerrit Rietveld — created a design that combines function and aesthetics with rare clarity. These chairs work perfectly as dining chairs, office chairs, or as standalone design pieces in a modern interior.
The wood has been relacquered.
Dimensions: height 82 cm, width 47 cm, depth 53 cm, sitting height 46,5 cm.
