Product description
Beautiful antique cylinder-shaped coal scuttle from the first half of the 20th century, nowadays perfectly usable as an atmospheric umbrella stand or unique planter in an eclectic, classic or rural interior. The body is made of red copper and beautifully decorated with a brass/bronze relief of a satyr or lion's head with a handle. Usually dated around the 1920s to 1950s (Art Nouveau / Art Deco influences or early mid-century period). The designation "4 KAN" indicates the historical unit of volume. One 'kan' was previously equivalent to approximately one liter, meaning this 'kan' has a capacity of approximately 4 liters. Dimensions (always approx): Height: 41.5 cm Diameter: +/- 19 cm.
