Product description
This is a vintage chandelier, designed by the Swedish artist Erik Höglund. The piece is crafted from wrought iron and glass, and is a characteristic example of the Brutalist aesthetic that was popular in the mid-twentieth century. The design masterfully combines the robust, hand-forged nature of the metal with the delicate texture of the glassware. The chandelier features a dark wrought iron frame with six arms emanating from a central point. Each arm holds a removable holder made of thick, clear glass with a textured, ice-like surface. These glass elements are designed to hold candles, creating an atmospheric and diffused light. It is also possible to place tea lights in them. The frame is stamped with 'MADE IN SWEDEN', confirming its Scandinavian origin, and is suspended by a matching chain. The object is in good vintage condition, consistent with its age and history. The wrought iron frame shows an authentic patina and rust formation, which contributes to the character and historical appearance of the piece.
