Product description
This object is a vintage ceramic decorative pot, designed and handmade by French ceramists Francis and Josette Bonaudi. The piece was crafted in the renowned pottery center Vallauris and dates from the Mid-Century period, circa 1950-1960. The design is characteristic of the brutalist and organic style popular at that time. The pot is made of hand-formed ceramic and measures 9 cm in height and 17 cm in width, including the sculptural handles. A distinctive feature is the speckled glaze, which has a tactile texture and is executed in soft pastel shades of cream, pink, and lilac. Its authenticity is confirmed by the hand-signed inscription "Bonaudi Vallauris" on the underside. The overall condition of the decorative pot is very good, in accordance with its age. The object has retained its original finish and character, without visible damage such as chips or cracks. The artists' signature is clearly legible and contributes to the collectible value of the piece. Due to its expressive form and unique glaze, this piece functions excellently as a standalone decorative object or as a plant pot. It fits seamlessly into an interior with a preference for Mid-Century Modern, eclectic, or brutalist design elements.
