Product description
A beautiful, minimalist ceramic vide-poche (storage tray). Designed by Pino Spagnolo for the Italian manufacturer Sicart Cartigliano in the 1970s. This extremely rare piece perfectly reflects the Space Age era. The elongated tray features a deep, high-gloss glaze in dark chocolate/espresso brown that beautifully reflects the light. The pill-shaped, streamlined design with a recessed groove makes it both a sculptural object and a functional accessory. Perfect for organizing keys, jewelry, and coins on a hall table, desk, or nightstand.
On the bottom is the original production label: “Sicart Cartigliano – des. spagnolo”, along with the hand-painted model number 731 and ‘Italy’.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The glaze is shiny and vibrant, with only small, minimal signs of use. No cracks, chips, or restorations. (See photos as part of the description). The last photo is an AI-generated image to give you an idea of how it might look in a hallway.
