Product description
Very nice Thonet S35 armchair! This armchair was designed by well-known designer Marcel Breuer for Thonet. The chair was already presented in 1930 at the “Salon des Artistes Décorateurs” in Paris. And more than 90 years later, the chair is still being produced. This makes the Thonet S35 the definition of timeless design! This chair is marked under the seat.
The S35 for sale here is a real vintage one! The armchair was purchased by the first owner in 1971. Despite the fact that the chair is over fifty years old, the chair is still in very good condition. The chrome frame has been completely polished and is therefore beautifully shiny, of course there are still some light signs of wear. The rattan upholstery is still very sturdy and completely intact. Of course it is visible that the chair has been used, and that is also allowed after fifty years of service!
