Product description
This rare coffee table, probably was manufactured in Belgium during the 1970s. This is a piece of furniture with an original character. The top is composed of eighteen ceramic tiles with a hand-painted, abstract pattern in intense shades of orange, beige, and deep brown. The pattern evokes the artistic expression of modernist ceramicists' studios. Dynamic lines, contrasts, and organic forms make each tile look like an individual work of art. The chrome base, with its light, geometric design, perfectly complements the Mid-Century Modern style, adding a touch of lightness and elegance. Stylistically, the table draws inspiration from the work of Juliette Belarti, a Belgian designer active in the mid-20th century, known for her unique furniture with ceramic tops that combine functionality with artistic expression.
