About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This chair is an original Bertoia Side Chair by Knoll and is considered one of the most important design classics of the 20th century. Designed by Harry Bertoia in 1952, this iconic chair combines industrial lightness with exceptional stability. The delicate seat shell made of welded steel wire appears almost to float, making the design a milestone of mid-century design to this day.
The open wire mesh is characteristic, creating transparency and allowing the room to feel light despite its sculptural presence. The black lacquered base forms an elegant contrast to the white wire shell and underscores the timeless nature of the design.
Whether at the dining table, in a home office, in a conference room, or as a standalone piece, the original Knoll Bertoia Chair blends effortlessly into modern, minimalist, and mid-century interiors and is one of the most sought-after design classics worldwide.
