Up for sale is a unique and highly sought-after pair of IKEA "Klyka" wall sconces (model V9810) from the vintage market.
These are icons of postmodern design from the turn of the 1980s and 90s, manufactured in Italy (as indicated by the "Made in Italy" mark on the original labels). Their style clearly references the famous Memphis Group.
The sconces feature an inverted cone shape with delicate, elongated slits. This allows light not only to project upwards but also to filter subtly through the openings, creating a beautiful striped pattern on the wall.
Italian production: Unlike later mass-produced IKEA items, these lamps boast excellent build quality (thick, powder-coated metal).
The set includes the original internal mounting brackets and ceramic bulb sockets. One of the sconces features the original pull-cord switch.
