IKEA Gunghult rocking chair (2002)
Produced by IKEA and designed by the British industrial designer James Irvine. This rocking chair was produced in a limited edition in the early 2000s and is now out of production, making it a sought-after collector's item among vintage design enthusiasts.
The design is characterized by a frame of bent ash wood that flows in one continuous line. The seat is made of hand-woven rattan. The frame connections are finished with industrial metal clamps.
The chair is in as good as new condition.
The rattan weave is completely intact, showing no breaks, discoloration, or sagging. The wooden frame is stable and free from damage.
