Product description
This curated lounge set features a two-seater sofa, a matching armchair, and an accompanying glass-top coffee table, all originating from Hungary during the 1970s. Representative of the era's focus on comfortable, robust domestic design, the suite is defined by its substantial dark-stained wooden frames and distinctive button-tufted plaid upholstery. The geometric, checked fabric provides a classic retro aesthetic that was a hallmark of cozy Hungarian interiors of the period.
The set is in original condition, showcasing authentic vintage wear consistent with age, including surface scratches on the wooden armrests—please see pictures for comprehensive details. The robust construction of the timber frames remains fully intact, providing a stable foundation for the plush, tufted cushions. This set is perfectly suited for a mid-century interior, a retro-themed living space, or a modern apartment looking for a bold, statement-making furniture grouping.
