Product description
This is a handmade extendable dining table, manufactured by J.J.M. Snor Meubelmakerij from Utrecht. The piece of furniture is an authentic example of Dutch Mid-Century Modern craftsmanship from the 1950s or 60s, characterized by its functional design and sleek, organic lines.
The table is entirely made of solid oak wood with a warm, natural finish. The round top has a diameter of 110 cm and rests on elegant, tapered legs. With the two included extension leaves, each 43 cm, the table can be extended to an oval shape with a maximum length of 196 cm, making it flexibly usable for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. The metal plate from the furniture maker confirms its artisanal origin by a furniture maker in Utrecht.
The overall condition of the table is good, retaining its original finish and the characteristic patina that has formed over the years. The construction is solid, and the extension mechanism functions properly. The piece represents a part of Dutch design history and distinguishes itself from veneered mass production from the same period.
Thanks to its timeless aesthetic and flexible dimensions, this dining table fits perfectly into a Scandinavian or Mid-Century Modern interior. It is a functional and characterful piece of furniture that adds warmth and authenticity to the dining area.
