Original XL Danish vintage pendant lamp by Form-Light, produced in the 1970s. The lamp has a striking layered construction of various reflectors in off-white lacquered metal. The inside of one of the central reflectors is finished in intense cobalt blue – a beautiful graphic detail that is mainly visible from below. The different shades largely conceal the light source, and the light is diffused between the reflectors. This provides soft, warm, and largely glare-free lighting. A characteristic example of Danish lighting design from the 1970s: sculptural and calm from the outside, with a surprising blue color accent that gives a light violet glow when lit. Very good vintage condition with light signs of wear appropriate for its age, including some small spots/paint loss on the edges.
