This is a vintage storage jar, manufactured by the Polish maker Wloclawek Fajans. The object is made of hand-painted faience, a type of glazed ceramic. Characteristic features include the traditional, folkloric floral motif and the specific model, designated as 'fason 9102'. The jar has a rectangular shape with rounded corners and stands on four small feet. The color palette consists of a cream-white base with decorations in deep cobalt blue and green. The bottom is marked with 'Hand Painted', 'Fajans', 'Made in Poland' and the model number, confirming its authenticity and origin. This type of ceramic was particularly popular in the mid-20th century. The overall condition of the storage jar is good, in accordance with its age. The glaze has retained its shine and the colors are still vibrant. The object is complete with its original, matching lid, which features a handle and a similar decorative pattern. This storage jar is a charming addition to a kitchen or dining room and fits well within a vintage, bohemian, or rustic interior. It can be functionally used for storing dry goods or purely as a decorative object on a shelf or in an open cabinet. There is a small chip on the very bottom of one of the feet (see photo), but this is completely invisible when the jar is standing. Otherwise, in very neat vintage condition.
