Product description
This is a vintage decorative sheep, model "Le Mouton", from the American brand Department 56. This charming object, dating from 1983, is a playful and characteristic example of the collectibles the brand is known for. The design combines a rustic look with a minimalist form, making it a timeless piece. The sheep is made from a mix of materials. The body is covered with a black, woolly texture reminiscent of sheepskin, while the four legs are made of solid, light-colored wood. The head is made of a grey-brown fabric, and the whole is accented by a red satin ribbon around the neck, from which a small metal bell hangs. The stamps under the legs confirm the authenticity and the production year 1983. The overall condition of this vintage object is very good, retaining its original materials and colors. The texture of the fleece is still full and the wooden legs are sturdy. The piece shows character appropriate for its age, without significant damage, and is an authentic item from the eighties. Please note: The internal sound mechanism no longer works (the sheep does not make a sound). This "Le Mouton" sheep is a nice addition to various interior styles, from Scandinavian to eclectic or rural. It can serve as a standalone decorative object on a shelf, in a bookcase or on a dresser, and adds a touch of nostalgia and personality to the space.
