For sale: A freestanding desk designed by J. Svenstrup for Danish manufacturer Andreas Pedersen's Møbelfabrik in the 1960s. The desk is made of teak and consists of three drawers on both sides. At the back are shelves for books and a flap. J. Svenstrup was a Danish designer active in the 1960s. He mainly designed furniture for the manufacturer A.P. Møbler. His designs are characterized by the use of high-quality materials such as teak and rosewood, and show a strong influence of Scandinavian modernism. His designs emphasize functionality and aesthetics, with attention to detail and craftsmanship. Although limited biographical information about J. Svenstrup is available, his designs remain sought after by collectors and lovers of Mid - Century modern design. His work is still appreciated for the timeless aesthetic and craftsmanship it embodies. The desk has been polished and set in an appropriate Danish oil. The desk has little to no signs of use!
