A striking and beautifully proportioned German mid-century desk dating from the 1950s.
Designed to be viewed from every angle, it is a freestanding piece with an integrated bookshelf at the rear, allowing it to sit freely in room and not just against a wall.
The desk features a beautifully figured walnut veneer, elegant tapered legs and three contrasting black Formica-coated drawers.
Its sculptural faceted side panels and clean architectural lines give it a distinctive modernist character, while the rear bookshelf provides practical storage without cluttering the desktop.
The desk has been restored and is structurally sound and ready to use.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition overall. There is minor veneer damage on the front middle drawer edge, consistent with age and use. You do not notice it in normal use as it is black, below the desk top and hidden by the chair.
